Ron Kohut manages our Sonoma County office. Ron has extensive trial experience in large complex civil trials. He has been a member of the faculty of the National Institute for Trial Advocacy. His practice focuses upon disputes involving contract, real property, consumer, winery and employment disputes, as well as complaints by government agencies.

Prior to founding Kohut & Kohut LLP, Ron was the Partner in Charge of the Orange County office of Kindel & Anderson, and formerly was the Managing Partner of the Ontario office of Best Best & Krieger LLP.


SARAH K. KOHUT, Of Counsel

Sarah Kohut is licensed and practices in both California and Washington states. Her practice encompasses all aspects of general litigation with particular emphasis on representing and defending businesses in consumer litigation, including unfair competition and class action disputes. Sarah also has extensive experience in enforcing corporate arbitration agreements.

Prior to joining Kohut & Kohut, LLP, Sarah was an associate with Buchalter, Nemer, Fields & Younger in Orange County. She graduated from Loyola Law School in 1998. In 1994, she graduated from the University of California at Santa Barbara, with honors.  Sarah is resident in our Seattle office.


DON WAGNER, Of Counsel

Don Wagner practices primarily business litigation. He has represented clients before trial courts throughout the State of California. In addition, he has practiced before several state and federal appellate courts, bankruptcy courts, and handled complicated securities arbitrations before both the New York Stock Exchange and National Association of Securities Dealers. His clients range from foreign corporations to start-up business, from individuals to directors of multinational manufacturing firms.

Don Wagner was educated at UCLA and the University of California, Hastings College of Law, where he served on the editorial board as senior technical editor for the Hastings Constitutional Law Quarterly and as a teaching assistant in the subject of real property law. Don Wagner also currently serves as an elected member and President of the Board of Trustees of the South Orange County Community College District. He regularly publishes articles on legal, political, and cultural topics in the Orange County Register, the Orange County Lawyer Magazine, and other publications. He has served as a Judge Pro Tem for the Orange County Superior Court and on the Boards of Directors of two corporations and is a past-President of the Board of Directors of the American Lung Association of Orange County. Don Wagner also founded and served as President of the Orange County chapter of the Federalist Society, a national organization of lawyers, judges and law professors.  Don is resident in our Orange County Office.


KRISTINA JODIS, Of Counsel

Kristina practices corporate law in Orange County. She counsels both private and public companies on general corporate and transactional issues in a variety of industries, including healthcare, high-technology, and manufacturing.

Kristina graduated from the University of Michigan Law School, and received her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Notre Dame. After earning her law degree, Kristina Jodis was an associate in both the litigation and corporate departments at Morrison & Foerster.  Kristina is resident in our Orange County Office.

Laura Kohut manages our Orange County office. Laura represents businesses in state and federal court actions involving intellectual property, contracts, and real property, and in disputes with governmental agencies.

Laura graduated from Columbia Law School in 1988, and received her B.A. from Whitman College. Prior to founding Kohut & Kohut LLP, Laura was an associate with Morrison & Foerster, and a Deputy District Attorney with the Orange County District Attorney’s office.

Megan Wagner practices business litigation and appellate law in Orange County. Megan has handled a wide variety of complex business disputes through trial and has successfully represented her clients before both state and federal appellate courts.

Prior to working with Kohut & Kohut LLP, Megan was associated with the law firms of Kindel & Anderson, McKittrick, Jackson, DeMarco & Peckenpaugh and Morgan, Lewis & Bockius. She graduated Order of the Coif from the University of California, Boalt Hall School of Law in 1987. In 1983, Megan was conferred a Bachelor of Arts degree, cum laude, with College Honors, from the University of California, Los Angeles.  Megan is resident in our Orange County Office.


RICHARD A. DE LIBERTY, Of Counsel

Richard A. De Liberty practices general litigation. Richard specializes in litigation involving intellectual property and commercial speech, including defamation, interference, and unfair business practices. He also has substantial experience in disputes involving secured transactions and other contracts.

After graduating with honors from the University of Chicago Law School, Richard practiced at Jenner & Block in Chicago and Heller Ehrman White & McAuliffe LLP in San Francisco. More recently, he practiced with a boutique firm specializing in entertainment-related litigation and transactions.  Richard is resident in our Sonoma County Office.


CURTIS HOLDSWORTH, Of Counsel

Curtis Holdsworth represents clients in all phases of complex litigation, with emphasis on business litigation and employment disputes in a variety of industries, including real estate, banking and lending, professional services, and retail.

Prior to joining Kohut & Kohut LLP, Curtis was a founding partner of Holdsworth & Hagopian, where he prosecuted and defended complex cases in state and federal courts involving unfair business practices, fraud, breach of contract, alter-ego claims, business torts, and insurance coverage disputes. He has also represented publicly traded companies in a variety of employment disputes involving claims of harassment, discrimination, retaliation, wrongful termination in violation of public policy, and failure to accommodate disabilities. Curtis began his legal career at Greenberg Glusker, a preeminent entertainment law firm in Century City.

Mr. Holdsworth received his B.A. degree in Economics from UCLA, and graduated from the USC School of Law Center in 1994. He is a member of the State Bar of California, the Orange County Bar Association, and the Association of Business Trial Lawyers. Curtis is resident in our Orange County Office.
